Follow Your Heart, it is Smarter Than You Think

Heart-torus

I recently came across this on Dimensional Bliss and it seems to confirm what we teach on our NLP courses that the mind and body are in fact one system. it also lens weight to what is taught in Qui gong that we actually have three brains.

Have a read and then allow yourself to imagine all of the possible things that you can do with this learning

Recently, Neurophysicists have been astonished to discover that the Heart is more an organ of intelligence,

[caption id="attachment_968" align="alignright" width="300" caption="How smart is your heart ?"][/caption]

than (merely) the bodies' main pumping station. More than half of the Heart is actually composed of neurons of the very same nature as those that make up the cerebral system. Joseph Chilton-Pearce, author of The Biology of Transcendence, calls it "the major biological apparatus within us and the seat of our greatest intelligence."

The Heart is also the source of the body's strongest electromagnetic field. Each heart cell is unique in that it not only pulsates in synchrony with all the other heart cells, but also produces an electromagnetic signal that radiates out beyond the cell. An EEG that measures brain waves shows that the electromagnetic signals from the heart are so much stronger than brain waves, that a reading of the heart's frequency spectrum can be taken from three feet away from the body...without placing electrodes on it!

Why NLP Coaching?

Do you want to develop the skills you need to have a better quality of life? Do you want to achieve your personal and your professional goals? Do you want the know-how so you can improve your productivity at work? Do you want the skills for leadership in your business and in the community?

Personal and business coaching has become very popular. Because every REALLY successful person is using a coach.

An NLP coach uses a combination of NLP skills and techniques that can be applied in business as well as in your personal life to produce tangible results fast.

The NLP skills and tools that I offer you can improve your life, relationships, health, career and income.

Discover your coachability quotient here…

Personal and business coaching has become important for successful people because very often people are not aware how much their attitudes and beliefs influence the quality of their lives. For example, many people have reasons and excuses why they can’t be successful, and this is borne out in the way they live their lifes.

Jay Conrad Levinson (from Guerilla Marketing fame) said, that “every world champion has had a coach”.

With the help of a personal coach, you can pinpoint your limiting beliefs and negative thinking and change them for beliefs and thinking that serve you better. Movie stars, professional athletes, leading politicians, business leaders and managers and CEOs know why they choose to work with a personal coach.

With NLP, you can achieve greater success in your personal life as well as in your career. Because NLP has effective tools to let go of what limits and blocks you in your endeavour for success. And this means you will have greater fulfillment and quality of life.

With the help of an NLP coach, you take responsibility for your results, you increase your self-confidence and self-esteem, you become more focused, more decisive and self-reliant, and you live more from your inner power. In short, with personal NLP coaching you can transform your life and be who you want to be, authentically.

Why Transforming Leaders are here

Recently we have entered into a collaborative arrangement with some people we know to create a new service called Transforming Leaders.

Transforming LeadersThose of you who are already familiar with NLP language patterns will recognise the conversational ambiguity in the name.

( Conversational ambiguity is where words have several possible meanings or interpretations )

So far we have identified at least 4 meanings here.

Transforming leaders

= Leaders that Transform

= We are the Leaders in Transforming

= We are transforming leaders and who and what they are

= We lead others into being transformed ie: leading from the front

For a while I too have struggled with what life is all about and what the blocks were. Yes this even happens to NLP trainers because we are human too and also get to feel stuff.

After months of discussions with friends and colleagues we identified what we think are the two biggest issues facing humankind right now.

1/ A lack of true leadership because current leadership is using outdated thinking

and

2/ A lack of belief that we are powerful enough to effect change.
Now I may be projecting my own doubts here but I think that for a large part of the population this is true.

Let’s start by defining what a leader is. There is so much written already on this that we could be here for months so this is my definition. It’s shorthand but will do.

“A leader is some one that has the belief, skills or knowledge and the flexibility to assist to listen to others and to demonstrate how to solve their problems without creating further problems and is prepared to do what is ethically right to ensure that the challenge is resolved happily.

A leader has foresight based on needs that must be met now and in the future and a vision of how to achieve what must be done”

Now I am more than open to discuss the definition with you as that’s what this post is. It’s a discussion piece. And that’s another aspect of being a transforming leader is listening.

You can find out more at my facebook page which is still very new and a bit unkempt…

NLP tips and NLP videos # 5 - It's all made up

Steve Jobs the former CEO of Apple once said

"Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is: Everything around that you call life was made up by people who were no smarter than you. And you can change it. You can influence it. You can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again."

What is interesting here is that everything you experience is made up by you. I'm going to go into all this in later NLP tips. That's not so important.

What is important is the values that you have when you create your experiences.

That's what today's videos is all about. Check it out.

Now that you have watched the video I'd invite you to comment and share your values here with the community.

Some of mine are-

- Freedom of choice
- Honesty
- Integrity
- The right to be prosperous
- The right to self determination
- Freedom of association
- The right to free assembly
- Freedom of speech
- Healthiness

Now there's a reason these have been put in this order and you'll find out more about that in the next video.

Please remember to like this post and share it with others.

NLP tips and NLP videos # 4 – On Becoming a Beacon

http://nlp-courses.org/nlp-tips-and-nlp-videos-4-on-becoming-a-beacon

Since you have read this far I assume that you’re serious or at least interested in getting a life you want. I say “A life” because it is likely that there is more than one life to which you aspire.
Most of the people who read my posts here are believers in human potential and our as yet untapped capabilities.
moonlight stones

Resolve like moonlight stones

I’ll explain what the picture of the standing stones is about in a moment. First we need to clear up a few things.

One of the things that sometimes slows you down from getting what you want to get is the ability to imagine so many things. I am reminded of a saying by the Chinese sage Confucius.

“Man who chases two rabbits catches none”

So imagine what happens inside in your mind when you are free to chase a limitless number of possible futures. How focused are you ?

READ THAT LAST SENTENCE AGAIN

One of my teachers from the Western Mystical tradition was a lady named Dawn. She told me that you must focus like a standing stone on what you want. What she meant by that is…

A standing stone is a metaphor for durability.

Imagine having such clarity about what you want for your life that the image you have inside, will stand the test of time.

Resolve like granite that withstands the winds and rains of the storms ravaging the mind.

Yet within the centre of the stone, all is calm.

It feels no wind and it feels no rain. it knows only it’s own self and the intent to be who and what it really is at the true core of it’s spirit.

This is a mindset carved out of solid rock and that moves mountains.

This is what Dawn meant when she spoke about being a beacon. A beacon will endure no matter what the climate is and even when it is blown into smaller pieces through the intervention of others, each resulting chip from the original carries the essence of it, as if it is DNA.

The danger with developing this level of intent is that you would be well advised to have thought through exactly what you want first. Imagination on this level has a spooky habit of coming true when you act upon it. It is a powerful force for motivation because it shimmers inside of your very being.

Before you go trying this we need to talk about values and how they shape who and what you are and how you can use them as a tool for lots of things. Including getting what you want from the inside out.

Because that’s where we’re heading in the next nlp tip next. I’ll also begin talking about sensory acuity and behavioural flexibility.

Inside…!

What Do You Believe?

I love quotes. Well some of them anyway. Because good ones go straight to the point. Such as the quote by Henry Ford:

"Whether you believe you can or you believe you can't, you're right".

Did you know, Henry Ford was trying to raise money for his idea of producing cars on an assembly line, where each little bit was added at a certain place. The bank manager that he initially applied to, told him that the automobile was just a fad, and it would never catch on. He told him there was no point in lending him any money for that kind of frivolity.

So, whether you think you will, or whether you think you won't, you’re right.

Beliefs structure our reality, they color our perception of what happens. They affect our values and attitudes. And how we experience the world.

Wouldn't it make sense to adopt useful beliefs and assumptions about the world, and by doing so increase our effectiveness in what we do? Wouldn't it be better to hold empowering beliefs instead of holding beliefs that don't provide us with a useful system to get results?

You've probably noticed that the way some people think of things, is very often the way things happen. I've got friends who expect that things are not going to be successful and they get that belief fulfilled.

NLP, or neurolinguistic programming, has a set of assumptions and beliefs that are very useful in people's lives. Because NLP is the study of how people succeed, what they do and what they believe in order to excel in their lives.

Now, NLP doesn't claim these beliefs are necessarily true. But when you act as if they are true you can achieve much more easily what it is you want to achieve. They may not be true but they are definitely useful.

Henry Ford watched the 15 millionth Model T Ford roll off the assembly line in 1927. His ‘universal car’ was the industrial success story of its age. He was an American icon and one of the nation’s richest men.

By having useful beliefs about what is possible and not being deterred by other people's unhelpful beliefs, he transformed the automobile itself from a luxury to a necessity.

What do YOU believe?

In future posts I'll go into the different beliefs, or presuppositions, of NLP.

Some Images From An NLP Trainers Training

Here are some images from our NLP Trainers Training in New Zealand 2008. As you can see, we had a lot of fun, and we learned heaps. This was the beginning of the marvelous world of NLP training. At the time, we were living in Thailand and flew to New Zealand to finish our NLP Trainers Training. We then went back to Thailand, and in the same year ran our first NLP and Communication Skills course.

Nlp Tips # 2-The hidden benefits of NOT Getting Your Goals

Welcome to NLP tips and NLP videos,

In my last video I spoke about New Years resolutions and goal setting in general
Now !

Today’s Tip is about hidden benefits..
Now by that I don't mean the sort of hidden benefits that the central banks are dishing out to each other.
It's more subtle than that.

Let's jump right in and take a look

When I'm working with a team or an individual and they are not getting the results or the changes they say they want
I always ask them this question. it's a little bit unusual...

"What are the benefits of NOT achieving this?"

It could be that

- They didn’t have to do what they say they will do

- They aren’t held accountable

- They get to moan about how terrible things are

- They get to stay in what is comfortable & familiar

-It may be that  they get a sympathetic ear from other people about their "struggle"...

These are all ‘hidden benefits’ that they would have to find other ways to get if they achieved their goal.

There are always hidden benefits

In almost any situation, there will be hidden benefits. If these benefits are uncovered, you can find other ways to satisfy them AND achieve your goals more easily.

However, if you are not aware of the hidden benefits of a situation, it can make it more of a struggle to change. So, with regard to a current goal you wish to achieve or change you wish to make…

Ask yourself "What are the benefits of NOT doing this?"
and pay attention to your answers.

You can look for other hidden benefits by asking

"What am I getting from the current situation?"

The answers you give yourself about these questions may seem a bit strange or perhaps even embarrassing, but once you've identified them, you can begin to find new ways to still get these hidden benefits AND achieve your goal.

Every benefit addresses a need or want

A benefit is only a benefit if it addresses a need or want, so the next step is to identify the needs or wants that the hidden benefit is supplying.

You can ask "What is the need or want that this benefit is satisfying?"

Anthony Robbins talks about six basic human needs, so if you’re having trouble identifying the need or want, check this list for inspiration. Robbins’ six are paraphrased as follows:

- Love & connection to other people

- Contribution to something bigger such as your family or community. A cause that you are passionate about

- Predictability, familiarity & security

- Unpredictability & surprise

- Growth & learning. Personal development.

- A sense of importance

One of the  presuppositions of NLP is that every behaviour has a positive intention.

Now The presuppositions of NLP are not necessarily true, but it is useful to act as if they are true in certain situations.

It can be very freeing to realise that there has been a positive intention behind something you have been perceiving as "failure" or ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’.

Once you know which needs or wants you’ve been satisfying, you can dream up many more even better ways to feel satisfied in the future.

So imagine what it will be like to ask yourself
"How can I still get these benefits while I’m achieving my goal?"
And then ask yourself that question.

The odds are that once you start to contemplate new ways of doing things, you’ll often come up with even more ways of getting those benefits than the ones you currently have.

Sometimes people will say that there is no benefit in the current situation.

NOW, If that happens, check how long things have been the way they are. If it’s more than a few weeks, then the hidden benefits should be familiar.

And...With regard to not getting your  goal…

Ask "What are the benefits of NOT achieving this?"
to identify hidden benefits of the current situation.

Ask "What is the need or want that this benefit is satisfying?"

Ask "How can I get this benefit while I’m achieving my goal?"
to identify better ways of satisfying the wants & needs.

Remember to use your imagination – there’s always another way of meeting your wants and needs.
